LazSi-1P is an intense pulsed light (IPL) laser. It is used in light therapy for a variety of dermatology procedures. IPL laser has upped the ante as a non-invasive option for a number of treatments, including skin rejuvenation. While traditional lasers use a diode with one specific wavelength originating from the diode, an IPL emits multiple wavelengths ranging from 500 to 1,200 nanometers. As opposed to a specific wavelength, IPL laser uses an entire waveband. The advantage of IPL lasers is that they can penetrate the skin to different depths, essentially serving the purpose of a multitude of traditional lasers.

How does IPL hair removal work?

A; IPL works by emitting light into the skin. The light is then absorbed by the pigment in the hair and turned into heat. The heat produced then damages the cells responsible for growing a new hair.

Does IPL hurt? What does IPL feel like?

Depending on the region you are treating, it may hurt slightly. Areas such as your back and legs do not hardly hurt at all, whereas areas such as your pubic region and neck are very sensitive. IPL has been described as feeling like popping a rubber band on your skin or a prickly heat - but it's only for a second and fades immediately. The handpieces are cooled by the inbuilt cooling unit to provide relief. The prickly pain is very minimal and does not continue or throb as it does with waxing and does not feel irritated as it does with shaving. It may help you to drink sweet drinks or eat something sweet directly before your treatment. Cold packs can be used on the area before and/or after.

How many sessions will I need for IPL hair reduction?

This is very dependent on each individual, their hair and skin types, and the area they are having treated, and so no exact number of treatments can be guaranteed. The average number of treatments necessary is about 6-8, although i have experienced a client needing just 2 treatments for hair on the back of the neck, but 10 treatments for legs. It is extremely variable. With each and every treatment the hair will be reduced/thinned/lightened so you will achieve some results from the very first treatment. However to achieve hair free smooth skin you may need 6-12 treatments

What is treatment of Thread veins, Acne?

Well-executed IPL can be absorbed by the hemoglobin in the blood and converted into heat. The heat destroys the protein in the wall of the blood vessel and causes the veins to disappear. Acne Pimples can genuinely affect a person’s confidence and social anxiety. Pimples are caused by the hormone androgen when it triggers excessive oil production from the sebaceous glands. The oil cannot exit through the pores of the skin, and pimples result when the glands become inflamed. IPL treatment can reduce the blood that reaches the gland and slow down the production of oil. By lessening the amount of oil, known as sebum, pimples are reduced.
